Throughout this course, students learn the basics of Python. Learning to code with Python is a great way to start for any beginner. Students develop a variety of logic-based games, algorithms and animations. This course covers the key programming science concepts such as functions, loops, if statements, variables, lists, and booleans; and how they are used in Python. Students will learn new concepts through the development of the project.

By the end of each level of the course, students should have the ability to write simple programs in Python independently. They should be confident in Python’s syntax and have a solid understanding of programming logic and key coding concepts such as functions, loops, if statements, variables, lists, booleans, and algorithms. All students will undergo a formal assessment and parents will receive individual reports outlining the achievements and progress of their children.
