TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:

Students should bring their own laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux), laptop is preferred, but iPads/Tablets could be suitable too.
Students should have good computer skills, including the ability to open browser windows, switch between windows, copy/paste files, and possess good typing skills.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Level: Beginner / No previous experience is required
Language: Python
Age: 9+ years old

The Game Development Coding Workshop is designed for students aged 9-15 yers old who are interested in learning programming fundamentals and creating their own game. The workshop focuses on using the Python programming language as a foundation for game development.

Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of programming and learn how to apply them to develop their own game. Students will also explore various game development concepts and techniques, including graphics, user input, game physics, and game logic.

As part of this course you will learn:

AGE GROUP:

8 - 15 years-old boys and girls. If your child is outside the age range, but you feel they are up to the challenge, please contact us to discuss this before signing up.

REQUIREMENTS:

A laptop or stationary computer with a good internet connection is required for the online class.
Any choice of browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, etc.) can be used.
Students should have good computer skills, including the ability to open browser windows, switch between windows, copy/paste files, and possess good typing skills.
