The Game Development Coding Course is designed specifically for high school students aged 12 and above who are interested in learning programming fundamentals and creating their own games. The course focuses on using the Python programming language as a foundation for game development.

Throughout the 5-week duration, students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of programming and learn how to apply them to develop their own games. The course will cover topics such as variables, data types, conditionals, loops, functions.
Students will also explore various game development concepts and techniques, including graphics, user input, game physics, and game logic. They will gain hands-on experience by working on small game projects that progressively increase in complexity as the course progresses.

Students should bring their own laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux), iPads and tablets are not suitable for this program.

Students should have good computer skills, including the ability to open browser windows, switch between windows, copy/paste files, and possess good typing skills.

For online course it is ideal to have a laptop or stationary computer with a two-screen setup to enhance the learning experience. This setup allows students to view the teacher's screen on one monitor while working on their own screen on the other monitor. However, if a two-monitor setup is not available, students will need to manage switching between windows.
